If you have an account on this server, we strongly recommend that you use SSH (available on University PCs or downloadable at (www.ssh.com) or Putty (available at www.openssh.org) to connect, instead of telnet (and ftp). Telnet/FTP connections are unencrypted, and others may be able to view your username, password, and other network traffic.
